
Field Service Technician
Mid-Level to Master/Senior-Level · Las Vegas, NV · Tucson, AZ
GTI Petro Group is expanding its field service team in the Las Vegas, NV and Tucson, AZ markets and is hiring Service Technicians at the Mid-Level and Master/Senior-Level. Technicians handle dispenser repair, preventative maintenance, POS, ATG, and UST fueling system service work across petroleum retail and commercial sites. We welcome applicants across the experience spectrum, with compensation and role scope matched to experience and certification level.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair fueling system components — dispensers, STP, ATG, vapor-recovery, and point-of-sale (POS) systems — across Gilbarco, Wayne, Verifone, and Veeder-Root platforms.
- Perform hanging-hardware replacement, integrity testing, submersible turbine pump (STP) component repairs, containment sump service, and preventative maintenance programs.
- Conduct Veeder-Root TLS console programming and probe/sensor/cable replacement; perform ATG functionality testing and compliance verification.
- Support UST construction crews on tank installation, piping, and sump-system replacement projects.
- Serve as on-site technical authority for new-construction startup, calibration, and customer turnover (Master-Level).
- Lead small-crew service activities and emergency response on high-priority accounts (Master-Level).
- Mentor Entry-Level, Apprentice, and Mid-Level technicians; provide on-the-job training and competency sign-offs.
- Complete detailed work-order documentation, parts requisitions, and compliance forms in Simpro.
- Author Job Safety Analysis (JSA) documentation and lead pre-job safety briefings (Master-Level).
- Participate in rotating on-call coverage for after-hours emergency service.
Requirements & qualifications
- 2+ years of petroleum field-service experience (Mid-Level); 5+ years (Master/Senior-Level).
- OSHA 10 current, OSHA 30 preferred (Mid-Level); OSHA 30 required (Master-Level).
- 2+ current OEM certs — Gilbarco ASC, Verifone VASC, Wayne, or Veeder-Root (Mid-Level); 3+ incl. Gilbarco Passport (Master-Level).
- Confined space entry certification (required Master-Level; a plus at Mid-Level).
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record.
- Simpro or comparable field-service platform proficiency.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, and respond after-hours on a rotating schedule.
